AGM at Portmarnock Links March 6th 2017.
An excellent attendance of 32 members turned out for our 2016 AGM at the newly renovated Portmarknock LInks. Serious investment has been made in the course and Hotel and everyone was impressed with the end product. Niall Carroll is assuming the title of " IGCMA Best Golfer" and no one can quibble given that he plays off a handicap of 2. He scored 38 points and was followed home by Barry Ramsey with 35, playing off 21. Eoin O'Sullvan was third beating Michael Walsh on the back 9 for 33 points. The meeting was convened by our President Jim Melody. He proposed Michael Moss as incoming Vice President.

While the accounts showed a significant deficit for 2016, the view expressed from the board was that by increasing our annual subscription, providing less subsidy for international matches plus some new members and additional sponsorship, the association would be back on a more solid financial footing over the next two years. Significant effort and funding had been expended on manager education over the past few years, to the benefit of those who had participated. The MDP program, Level 1, in conjunction with the CGI had been most successful. International matches had been expanded during 2016 with the additional match against the Swedish Managers(GAF)
